Sturdy, but pay attention to its center of gravity

I purchased this stand in October 2019, and wanted an opportunity to use it for a length of time before leaving a review. The product is described as a desk stand, but I use it a bit differently. I frequently utilize my laptop while seated on a couch, and I needed to figure out how to set up a 3 monitor workstation (2 monitors plus the monitor on the laptop), while seated on the couch. This product addressed my workstation requirement by being 40 inches in height, which was the height that I needed the monitors to be. I am using 24" monitors with this stand, and have mounted the arms for the monitor to be almost at the top of the pole, leaving 1" from the top. I placed the stand on the floor, and not on a table top as was intended. With the monitor-arms being mounted that high on the pole, I needed to find the proper articulation of the arms to bring the weight of the monitors towards the pole. While the arms could extend outward, doing so will cause the entire stand to tip forward, as there is no counterweight. The base of the stand is sturdy, but not heavy enough to counter the weight of the monitors. This wouldn't have been an issue is the monitor-arms are mounted lower on the pole. However, a lower mounting position wouldn't have given me my preferred height of the monitors relative to my eye-level. A longer base plate towards the front of the base would have helped counterbalance the weight.Overall, this stand is sturdy with an all-metal construction, with a good finish that has prevented any rust from developing. It has been in use for over two years, and it is not showing any signs of degradation. And with the price point being $50, this product provides excellent overall value.

Perfect to floor-mount behind the desk, supports 70" of monitor!

I have placed my home office desk in the middle of the room so I can have bookshelves on the walls. The desk I have is designed in such a way that normal monitor arm holder-clamps won't fit. This, in the past, caused me to consume a lot of desk space with monitor stands. Then I found this floor-standing monitor arm kit. It stands from the floor and about 10" above the surface of my desk. It supports at least two monitor arms - and it's dimensions fit other brands of arms, you don't have to use the dinky arms that come with it. I had some hydraulic arms for big loads and this guy holds it.I have a 38" ultrawide and a 32" monitor. I am able to mount both on this stand. Both monitors are curved. I was able to adjust the arms such that I could have the monitors touching and curved away from one another. Despite the 38" monitor weighing significantly more, and being spread over a wider space than the 32", I have not had any issues with the stand leaning, tilting, or otherwise moving from the orientation I set it at.That all said, I do lean the stand on my desk. It could not hold all of this weight and stand free of support. Likewise, when removing monitors I must take care to ensure the other monitor is stable and does not fall when I remove the other mass.Bottom line - this is an amazing monitor stand because it solved my deskspace issue, is very sturdy, has non-proprietary pipe dimensions, and can reliably hold and balance two large monitors. Win-win-win.

Good, but not perfect

It works well, and came as described. That said, with just a slightly weightier base it could be great. When I move my monitors forward, the stand tips, and if I needed them higher on the pole it would be worse.Still happy with my purchase, but could have been happier.

Best bang for the buck.

After a week of use. It is sturdy. Monitors are held in where I want them to be. And, it was very easy to install. What is more to ask for?
